SYMPTOMS : Your hands are out of
control. You never stop tweeting, Facebook-ing or blogging. Your brain is
unable to command your muscles to stop, and you get information-withdrawal
symptoms when your internet is down
DANGERS : Your health is risk. You could develop short sightedness due to
staring at screen for hours, or you may develop back and neck problems due to
bad posture. You also tend to remain in a virtual world instead of interacting
in the real world. Your relationships with those around you can be affected.
2. WAISTLINE FRENZY
SYMPTOMS : You weigh yourself
several times a day and panic when the pointer stops at a slightly larger
number than usual. You only eat one meal per day, and It usually only consists
of fruits and vegetables.
DANGERS :
Most of these people end up suffering from eating disorders such as anorexia or
bulimia. About 20 percent of them die from the lack of a balanced diet. Protein
deficiency is extremely harmful since proteins are needed to help the body
renew its tissues.
SYMPTOMS : You spend all of your free time at the gym, lifting weights or
running on a treadmill
DANGERS :Of course we know that exercise is beneficial tour health, but
everything should be done in moderation. Exercising too much can cause rhabdomyolysis
– kidney poisoning due to excessive protein breakdown in your muscles – damaged
joints, insomnia and so on.
4. COFFEE ADDICTION
DANGERS : You get a sudden rush of adrenaline after consuming a cup of
coffee, but the euphoria is short lived. After a few hours, you experience a
sudden drop in energy levels, which makes you reach for more coffee. Those
addicted to coffee suffer withdrawal symptoms such as headache, fatigue, loss
of appetite and mood swings. In the long run, you will suffer from a hormonal imbalance
because your body will no longer be able to determine your real energy levels.
SYMPTOMS : Your eyes are always glued to the television, all day and all
night.
DANGERS
: Watching telly for extended periods has been linked to depression. Watching
too many action movies could encourage you to mimic the violence. Too many
horror movies could make you afraid of the dark.
